Baby Picasso!

Zoey loves drawing.. any kind. So since our new porch took away her canvas(the concrete slab), we got her a new easel to perfect her artistic eye.

Today was a good day...

I had an amazing day with Zoey.. which was much needed after the past couple of days.

Zoey has been sick with ear infection and possible allergies! So around 3 am she starts coughing and can't stop! So we go get her and sleep with her.. which means she sleeps and we are up! So needless to say we have been EXHAUSTED!

She started feeling better today so we took advantage!

We went to the beach with friends, had lunch, came home and played outside, had smoothies and relaxed! It was AWESOME!

I love you Zoey!

Sweet tooth!

Zoey has got a HUGE sweet tooth! She is always wanting chocolate, ice cream and cookies!





Yes, that is Nana holding a cupcake for her while she eats ice cream...


She literally scraps the bottom of the bowl to get the very last drop of ice cream.. I can't say I blame her...

A day at the beach...

With the weather finally cooperating and Katie in town from Germany, we decided to let Zoey skip school and went to the beach... She had a blast, playing in the sand, finding shells, destroying castles.. It was a great day...

Sweet girl!

When I walked in to Zoey's room this morning... Zoey looked at me and said...

"Mommy's pretty!"

... melt my heart sweet baby girl...

Glamour Girl!

As we were getting ready to leave this morning, I put my sunglasses on my head, so of course Zoey had to have her glasses as well.


and of course she had to have her purse as well...


I tell you this girl is cracking us up everyday... I never think its possible to love her more... and then I do!

Yup, these are my kids....

While in Tampa this past weekend, Zoey became very attached to yellow tupperware bowl that she wore as a hat... we almost had to wear it into a restaurant..


Today we had a second ultrasound to try to see a better picture of Daxton's heart. Though they got some, they still didn't get everything... but they did manage to get Daxton peeing! It's hard to see, but in the middle you can see a little stream coming from him!.. hahahah.. the tech had never seen a baby peeing in the womb!

What's his name?

We have decided on a name! Woohoo!

Daxton Andrew Mattes

Zoey is already learning to say the name and its adorable to hear her say it. She gives him kisses, says goodnight, and says all the things she will teach him!
