Grandparent Visit #2

So two weeks after their last visit.. my parents came to visit, this time bringing Steve along!

Papa and Zoey bonded over computer time...

After Zoey was done in the water... I didnt have any clothes for her to change into (mother of the year!) so Zoey played without a shirt in the sand...

After the beach, we headed to get some ice cream!



Since Zoey had gotten wet.. and I didn't have any extra clothes (mother of the year), this is how Zoey went to get ice cream... shirt, pull-up, and tennis shoes... AWESOME!


Dax was worn out by the whole process!

Its a good thing he's cute...

Cause the lack of sleep... might drive us crazy!

One month...

Oh Daxton.. you have been around for a month now.. and it feels like you have always been here.. We love you soo much! Though it been a rough month and we are sleep deprived... you are a constant joy to us. You are a little colicy, and do not like to sleep except when laying on someone. You are a peanut and tiny! You are just barely fitting into the newborn clothes. Everyone comments on how cute you are and how much they love your mohawk that mom gives you.

Dax likes...
-sleeping on you..
-waking up every two hours
-eating every two hours
-soy formula
-pooping

Dax does not like..
-well lets be honest he is one month old.. he pretty much has no say in what he likes or dislikes..

Dax can..
-smile
-start to talk and babble
-win your heart within 2.5 seconds

Dax and Zoey are blessed by two of the most talented grandparents EVER!!!

I am in aww of both of them.. and thankful Dax and Zoey have amazing grandparents!

We had gone to the beach with my parents, where Zoey got SOAKED! Being the mother of the year that I am.. had no clothes for her.. so this is how Zoey went to go get ice cream...

2 weeks...

Dax just had his two week check-up.. and is doing great! He gained a whole pound and is up to 7 pounds 12 oz. We had two different doctor's appointments today and one scale said 7lbs 14oz and the other said 7lbs 10oz... so we go with the average. He is a pretty good baby.. We are working on his sleeping habits... some nights we goes 3-4 hours.. other nights... well let's just say we love him a whole lot.. he is eating between 2-3 ounces per feeding... we love this little munchkin despite our lack of sleep...

Percentiles:
weight - 18th
height - 5th and thats only because I can't see the numbers underneath on the chart...
head - 25th

The 4th Weekend

Since Dax is only a week old for the 4th, we decided to keep it low key and spend the day with Grandma and Pop... Last minute Papa, Nana, and Brett decided to come join the fun.. the lure of Dax was too much for them to handle... and we enjoyed having them even if it was for a short time...

So far Zoey has been an amazing big sister!! She wants to hold Dax and love on him. She is very helpful to us, putting things away, getting things, and carrying things.

There is nothing better than watching your kids together for the first time... and even better that Zoey is soo sweet to Dax. She tells him all the time that she loves him... Melts my heart everytime! I am extremely lucky to be the mom of these two sweet kids....
