Well of course...

So tonight was Halloween, and I was trying to get Zoey to put on her Tinkerbell costume..

and she said..."I don't want to wear my costume."

Me: "Well we need to put it on its Halloween."

Z: "I'm already a princess.."

geez... I forgot about that.

4 Months...

Where has the time gone? seriously these four months have flown by.. its crazy.. maybe because I don't have time to think or reflect..

Month four and things keep getting better little man! You are happy and talkative like no other! It is amazing the just two months ago you screamed uncontrollably for no reason what so ever. You enjoy being held still, that is your favorite thing, but you are starting to branch out into the bumbo seat, jumperoo and bouncy seat! This is very exciting to Mommy, since I can now get things accomplished during the day! You are the cutest baby boy ever! People still stop me in the store and comment on how cute you are, you thank them with a huge toothless grin! You are smiling and laughing all the time! You love "pop goes the weasel" and "patty cake." And now you LOVE to be scared, and have big belly laughs of joy. You love watching Baby Einstein in the mornings with mom. You are still a peanut! You are wearing 3 month clothes and VERY few 3-6 month. You have branched out in your eating! You still drink soy formula, but now eat applesauce, bananas, and green beans. Bananas seem to be a favorite. You can do a half roll and are soooooooo close to getting all the way over. We love you more and more baby boy and can't wait to see what the next month brings!

Daxton loves..
- being held
- bottle - often as a pacifier
- swaddling - the only way he sleeps for extended periods of time
- his sister!
- staring at his sister
- being scared
- laughing, being tickled
- oatmeal
- bouncy seat, bumbo seat
- to stand up
- RASPBERRIES! All day everyday!
- chewing on anything and everything

Daxton can..
- talk your ear off
- scream with joy
- scream when he has been left alone for too long
- do a half roll... sooooo close to a full roll
- suck his thumb
- drooling! like crazy!

Daxton does not like..
- being left alone
- not being held for a long time

Pumpkin Carving!

Zoey helped me carve our Family pumpkin this year. This year everyone got an individual pumpkin and then we had a family pumpkin...

Zoey was in charge of the spoon..

Then she did help by cleaning off the pumpkin.


Zoey decided to have a happy pumpkin again.. unfortunately he lost a tooth in carving.

Holly and Haley came over on Friday to hang out so we let the girls "make" cookies..

Dax is starting to enjoy standing up and sitting in his Bumbo, much to the delight of ME!! He still wants to be held most of the time, but for 20-30 minutes, I can get a break...





I love the way Dax looks at Zoey! He loves to watch her and everything she does. Love these two!

Twinkle, Twinkle...

Zoey's school had Nursery Rhyme Dress up day, so with the help of Grandma Zoey dressed up as Twinkle, Twinkle.. I had to bribe her to wear this outfit...

Now that the weather has cooled.. we love spending time outside again... which has renewed Zoey's love of her swings..


This was Dax's first time in a big boy swing... he was excited as you can tell..


Of course Zoey had to help.. she has become quite the helper (no.. really she is!)

BATH TIME!

In an effort to make my day a bit easier.. I decided to bathe both children together.. Why didn't I think of this sooner? Zoey LOVES to take her bath with Daxton.. and she is quite the helper..



Zoey had to learn to only pour water on Daxton's belly.. poor Dax.


He could not take his eyes off of her.. He LOVES his big sister!

Our days are filled with princess Zoey and her dress-up! She is too funny... wanting to spin and twirl and often including a song.. she is quite hilarious!

Zoey's First Day of School

Because I don't have time... Part 1

Zoey started a new school this year.. yup.. 3 years in daycare, 3 different schools.. This time we found a keeper! Zoey is attending St. Luke's Preschool Monday - Friday from 9am - 1pm. It is perfect.. she goes, learns, has fun.. and I get a break.. well sort of.. Dax is still home. But she LOVES IT! She loves her teachers, her friends. She has already learned so many new songs and nursery rhymes!

So trying to be a good mom, I took her picture on the first day of school - August 30th - and this is what I got...
