I am thankful

today is over.. my child is still alive, despite several screaming matches today.. my husband took the kids for a few hours so I could get out.... for reading a book to said child... both kids are asleep.. tomorrow is a new day to spend with the people I love...

7 months

These pretty much accurately describe this past month... Dax is EVERYWHERE and into everything!!




He is such a happy baby! Smiles all day, big laughs, screeches of JOY! Last month he started to get a bit bigger, starting to wear more 6 month clothes, but can still fit into most 3-6 clothes, had his first surgery to get circumcised. You never would have known he had surgery he was up and crawling within hours of finishing. Crawling, pulling-up, moving on furniture.. it was a pretty big month for our little boy!

Dax can..
- crawl - Fast.. really fast
- pull-up on EVERYTHING
- walk while holding on to furniture.. still slow at this but getting better
- sleep 12 hours at night... but not so great at naps still

Dax likes..
- Mommy.. he can find me as soon as he hears my voice.
- food - yogurt bites, formula, baby food
- toys
- trying to be a big boy and climb on things
- his sister, always stares at her
- finding anything he can get into
- grabbing hair, or anything he can.
- screeching with joy, laughing
- being scared
- waking up at 6:45 am on the dot

Dax does not like..
- sleeping for an extended period of time during the day
- falling - he falls ALL THE TIME.. poor kid is going to have a concussion.

have the best laughs in the world
brighten my day with one smile
are the reason i work from home
get me to twirl like a ballerina on a Tuesday night
make me miss sleep
make me want to sleep for 24 hours straight
are the reason i wanted to be a mom
help me be patient
make me repeat myself 80 times a day
are why i forget everything
remind me to play during the day
are sometimes why i understand why animals eat their young
make me want to blubber on their bellies multiple times a day
are mine..


and i wouldn't trade them for anyone...

and now for his next trick...

that's right.. he is now pulling up on the ottoman... Dax started this last week. and is slowly being able to stand for longer periods of time.. he is only up for about 15-30 seconds.. but he is definitely up..



the little booger.. so now he tries to pull up on EVERYTHING... including the tv stand, inside his play pen, the bouncer...

He is on the move...

Stuck!

Poor Dax and his crawling is already getting him stuck in odd places... The worse is this bouncer. He is like a moth to a flame. He MUST crawl through this.. everytime.. Then he gets stuck, and ends up banging his head on a bar. He is getting better.

My lil' brothers came to visit with my Dad a couple days after Christmas.. always good to see them!

Zoey is very into taking pictures. Everytime I take out the camera, she wants to take a picture... here is a selection of her shots.

Papa

Papa and the boys came to visit for a couple days, more to come on that..

But Zoey had a new love for Papa, she has always loved him obviously.. but she was SO excited to play with papa and go to the park with papa, and play outside with papa... she talked about him for days after... that papa has a special place in Zoey's heart.

and he is always happy.. until the doctor tries to look in his ears or give him shots.. silly doctor.
